Michelle Adams, RYT500, Certified Yoga Therapist. Michelle works with students with special needs such as couples experiencing infertility, child athletes, children with ADD and autistim, and people living with cancer. Her approach to yoga is to teach people how to be really present in their lives by focusing on the joys that each and every breath can bring. Michelle's subtle but transformative approach includes the use of Reiki, Touch for Health, and Quantum Healing. She is a certified energy healer and continues her studies through the KYM (lineage of T. Krishnamacharya). Her motto for 2012 is a quote from Ghandi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world….”
Amy Valdez, RYT500. Amy began practicing yoga when a good friend brought her to her first class.  At the time she was suffering from stress and yoga was just what she needed.  She has always been active but what yoga offered that no other activity had before was the spiritual element.  She trained at The White Lotus Foundation, Cloud Nine Yoga and Purple Yoga.  After asana practice she enjoys getting her guitar out from time to time to sing to her class while they rest in Savasana.

Yoga's Best Practices:

Refrain from eating an hour before class. Have a light, nutritious snack if you need to eat.

Arrive to class 5 minutes ahead of time to avoid rushing. Arrive 15 minutes early if it is your first time.

Purchase class pass(es) and sign in at the front desk before going into the Practice room.

Silence your cell phone.

When in yoga class, do as yogis do: remove your shoes before entering the carpeted area of the Practice Room.

Be mindful of the practice of others: keep a quiet voice before and after class.

Be mindful and listen to your own body.  Competing or comparing yourself to another (including a younger self) can lead to injury.

Keep an inner smile.
RYT and ERYT designations meet Yoga Alliance's ethics, practice, and methodology standards for certified yoga teachers.
